We celebrated my wife’s birthday at The Bob Shop, and the experience was nothing short of delightful. I had spoken to Writam, the owner, over the phone to book a table and he was extremely enthusiastic and warm — the same energy was there when we met in person. He ensured every detail was taken care of, even organizing a sweet birthday decoration. The food? Absolutely amazing. The Mughlai Paratha was the star of the night! Friendly staff, homely atmosphere, and genuinely top-class Bengali food — this made our evening so special.Posted on Rakesh Kumar20/05/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had an amazing experience with the food here! The Mughlai cuisine is absolutely awesome, and the biryani I had at the BOP shop is hands down the best in Bangalore. Every Bengali dish served is truly next level—authentic, flavorful, and comforting. If you're looking for my recommendations, you must try the Mughlai, Biryani and the Ilish Fish. That said, honestly, every dish here stands out. Thank you so much for providing such delicious and homely food. It truly helps us stay connected to our roots and not miss home.Posted on amit singh18/05/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The food and the quality of the food served here is one of the best Bengali cuisines I have had in my long stay in Bangalore. A must visit place for quick bite, lunch and even dinner. Writam da and Poulumi di is a great host and will make you feel home. The biriyani, the maacher kaalia and their main attraction, gelato along with the mocktail which Writam da himself creates.Posted on Ashish Gupta18/05/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had visited first time on Pohika Boisakh to try the Bengali thali and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant owners are very jovial and host you with a smile. All the staff members are very courteous and super helpful. Coming to food - not only tasty but reasonably priced too. We love the bengali food here - biryani, moghlai, ilish .. everything is hands down one of the best in town! They also serve Chinese, Italian cuisines and some signatures like gelato icecreams and mocktails which are quite novel. We hang out quite often now as the ambience is so lively. Thanks so much for all the amazing dishes :) Would highly recommend to all the foodies - friends, family, corporate groups … do visit and you won’t be disappointed!Posted on shreya nag12/05/2025Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. The Bop Shop exceeded expectations! The biryani was aromatic and flavorful, Moghlai paratha was crispy perfection. But the real star was the unique gelato flavors - Mango lemon chili and orange dark chocolate were divine! A must-visit for authentic Bengali cuisine and innovative desserts.
